Taste Wine Bar and Market Tasting Machine 4
Current Selection
Andre Pasdeloup Vin de Bourgogne, Burgundy, France
Notes: Ripe dried red fruit on nose and palate, very slight spice note and continues to open up as it sits in the glass. Medium body and long, yet light finish. Crisp, clean, smooth and everything you'd expect in a wonderful Pinot Noir Pairings: Roast chicken, pork, pasta with meat sauce, mushrooms, lightly aged cheeses
Calera Pinot Noir, Central Coast, California
In 1975, legendary vintner and pioneer Josh Jensen founded Calera (Spanish for "lime kiln") high in the Gavilan Mountains of California's majestic Central Coast. In the four decades since, Calera has helped establish the Central Coast as one of the New World's most exciting wine regions, while earning acclaim as one of California's iconic wineries. Crafted using grapes from a handful of the finest vineyards on the Central Coast, this alluring wine offers enticing aromatics, soft, velvety tannins and vibrant fruit and spice. This Pinot Noir is nuanced and complex with a long, lush finish, making it a benchmark for the region
Roco Gravel Road Pinot Noir, Willamette Valley, Oregon
Grape: Pinot Noir Description: This wine opens with aromas of all spice and dried cherries, blackberry, Turkish fig, and a hint of maple syrup. On the palate, layers of dark fruit and dried cherry continue to mingle with savory spice notes of white pepper, Sichuan peppercorn, and cassia bark before culminating in a velvety finish. Pairings: roast turkey, pasta with tomato and basil, spinach, ricotta stuffed eggplant
SLO down Wines "Send Nudes" Pinot Noir, Central Coast, California
For its next act SEND NUDES is going full Foxy Brown. This 2023 Pinot Noir expresses Bing cherry and fresh violet on the nose while stone fruit, tea leaves and delicate cinnamon dance across the pallet. Neutral oak keeps this wine fresh as F &% with a slight crunch… This wine goes great with late night booty texts to the EX
Poggio Terra, Barbera, Piemonte, Italy
This 91-point Barbera from Piedmont's Monferrato region delivers exceptional value in a liter format. The 2021 vintage offers classic aromas of sour cherry, violet, and a touch of earth. Medium-bodied with bright acidity and soft tannins, the palate features flavors of red plum, licorice, and a pleasant bitter almond note on the finish. Aged 12 months in large Slavonian oak casks, it develops texture without overwhelming oak influence. The liter bottle makes it perfect for casual gatherings, pairing wonderfully with pizza, pasta dishes, or charcuterie boards. A wine that proves quality and quantity aren't mutually exclusive
Slo Down Wines "Sexual Chocolate" Syrah Blend, Central Coast, California
Born from a bootlegging operation in a garage, the 2022 Sexual Chocolate is hedonism at its best. This California red blend is the embodiment of new world. Offering an intense flavor profile packed with ripe dark fruit and exotic spices, finishing with a lingering soft silky texture. This wine goes great with late night debauchery and should be shared immediately with girls, boys, donkey's, or whatever you're into!
Juan Gil, Monastrell(Mourvedre), Jumila, Spain
Quite a lot of character in this 100% Monastrell made from organic grapes. This is a rich, full-bodied red wine with layers of red blackberry fruit with a briary, wild character with hints of herbs and dark chocolate. A lot of wine here for the price! Certified organic. The Silver Label Monastrell is well-known for offering remarkable depth, structure, and a powerful expression of its terroir in Jumilla's hot, arid climate. 93 POINTS, The Wine Advocate. "The 2022 Silver Label was matured in new and second-use French oak barrels for one year, but they were looking for lower toast and less impact of the wood in the wine than earlier vintages when it was 100% new oak. It has a paler color and a subtler and more floral nose, keeping the poise and showing surprisingly fresh for the conditions of the year. It's ripe, reflecting the warm and dry weather, with 15% alcohol but very good freshness, coming through as balanced and harmonious, clean and pure. This is a bargain and a success for the year, a champion in drinkability. Bravo!"
Louis Cheze "Ro-Ree" Grenache/Syrah, Saint Joseph, Rhone Valley, France
Deep ruby. Lively aromas of fresh red and blue fruits and candied flowers take on a suggestion of olive as the wine opens up. Juicy and energetic in style, offering appealingly sweet black raspberry and cherry flavors and a zesty touch of peppery spices. Finishes sweet, subtly tannic and long, leaving a note of violet pastille behind
