History Class Brewing Company Drinks Menu
Beer Made Here
Belle Booth
Blonde Ale / 5.4% ABV. This classic American Blonde Ale is our easy drinkin, easy goin, refreshing beer that everyone loves. We named it for Belle Booth, who was Panama City’s first female postmaster and, after the passing of her first husband Dr. Booth, married our very first mayor Robert McKenzie. Belle built the home that they eventually lived in with her bare hands, and The McKenzie House is now a historic landmark that sits right behind our brewery in downtown Panama City
Pollywog
Hard Cider / 5.4% ABV. This gluten-free fan favorite starts with a crisp apple cider base, we add blackberries and blueberries for a hit of fruitiness and natural sweetness, but there are NO added sugars! Pollywog is tart and refreshing!
Val Valentine
Hazy IPA / 6.6% ABV. We named this East Coast IPA after the artist who designed & built all of those cool rides at Miracle Strip Amusement Park & Shipwreck Island, like the Abominable Snowman and Dante’s Inferno. This batch features El Dorado hops, which gives it notes of tropical fruit and hard candy. It's dry hopped, but is well balanced, slightly more juicy than bitter!
Red Holland
Red Ale / 4.5% ABV. This malt forward ale with notes of toffee & toasted bread and a nice earthy finish is dedicated to Red Holland, a local legend who hosted TV shows like “Good Morning Tri-States,” and “Outdoors with Red” for much of the 80’s and 90’s. He grew up in our small neighboring community, Bonifay, Florida, and was beloved by many for his passion for nature, quirky sense of humor, and boisterous presence both on and off the air
Miss Neon
Hard Cider / 6.8% ABV. Gluten-free and made with tons of real mango puree for a super juicy, tropical, and refreshing cider! This one has a little zip, so we named her after the 1954 Panama City Soap Box Derby Champion
Island Hopper
IPA / 6.3% ABV. New England Style Hazy IPA featuring a unique Norwegian yeast with sultana dry hop. Island Hopper has a potent citrus, lemon-forward aroma and a juicy mouthfeel with a lingering finish. This brew features Citra and Sultana hops for flavor, but it boasts low bitterness making it approachable and light. If you're not sure about hoppy beers, try this one, it's our "starter IPA!" Perfectly crushable and great for trips to Shell Island, family BBQ’s, and general fun in the sun
Jewel's Hibiscus
Wheat Ale / 5.1% ABV. We infuse this American wheat ale with cold-steeped Hibiscus tea to create a floral, tart, bright pink, totally unique brew that locals cannot got enough of! Jewel Booth was the adored daughter of Belle Booth, our first female postmaster in Panama City back in 1909
Saints Bay
Gose / 3.9% ABV. This session sour ale is inspired by the flavors of a Margarita on a hot sunny day! We add lime, salt, and orange peel to give the sweet, sour, and salt you get from the world famous cocktail
Singing Sisters
Saison / 5.5% ABV. We fuse the fruity and peppery flavors of a traditional Saison with a light delicate touch of added Jasmine Pearls Tea, giving extra floral character to this crushable brew. We named it after the Kimbrel Sisters. Back in the 1920s this popular duo played music and sang songs for local gatherings, weddings, and most notably, a banquet at the Dixie Sherman Hotel honoring Dr. Fons A. Hathaway. You probably recognize that name because the bridge that connects Panama City to Panama City Beach is named after him
Union Soldier
N.E. IPA / 6.8% ABV. This Hazy IPA is dry hopped with Citra and Calypso hops to give it a bright, citrus-y front and an herbal, dry finish. Why the name Union Soldier? It's a great local story: watch the video
Tip Top
Lager / 4.5% ABV. An easy-drinking Pilsner with bready aromas, lightly floral notes from added Tupelo honey, and a classic refreshing finish. We named it for the old Tip Top Grocery store that was located on Harrison Avenue in the 1940’s
Ella Mae
Light Ale / 4.6% ABV. This super crisp, light, citrusy ale is named after Ella Mae Sapp, the beloved matriarch of the Sapp family home. The Sapp House still stands today and has recently been restored and renovated as a gorgeous event venue in historic downtown Panama City
Johnny G's
Kölsch / 5.4% ABV. Fifteen pounds of local wildflower honey goes into this light German style ale giving subtly sweet aromas with a crisp finish. We named it for our dear friend and “regular” because we can. Please don’t ask us to name a beer after you. You’ll probably meet John when you come in, he’s part of the family
McKenzie's Finest
Milk Stout / 6% ABV. We brew this English-style stout with milk sugar for a creamy mouthfeel and just a touch of sweetness on the finish, rounding out the classic notes of dark chocolate & coffee from the dark roasted malts. Putting it on a nitro tap adds even more of a smooth, silky finish. This one is named after Panama City's very first mayor, Robert McKenzie. His house still stands as a historic landmark right behind our brewery in downtown Panama City
Bunkers Cove
IPA / 7.5% ABV. This is a hazy IPA with a bit of "West Coast" influence. Juicy aromas of tropical fruit, citrus, and ripe stone fruit stand up to the slightly earthy undertones, expressive hop character, and firm finish. This beer is back on tap for the first time since 2020! We named it Bunkers Cove for the scenic road that runs along the bay and into “The Cove.” The Cove neighborhood began expansion in 1900 by Sudduth Realty, and is now a place many locals and our regulars call home. The area, peppered with gorgeous southern foliage like Magnolias, Oaks, and Crepe Myrtles, is filled with beautiful historic houses and landmarks
