Named for our desire to merely emulate some of our favorite German dark strong lagers, Emulator has turned into our most awarded beer, including a World Beer Cup Gold. A complex malt bill proves that not all lagers have to be pale, fizzy, and light in alcohol/flavor

One of our most labor-intensive brews, we max out our mash tun to collect a kettle of only the first runnings, which contain the highest concentration of sugars possible. We then employ an extended boil of 3 hours to further concentrate and caramelize the sugars for this imperial stout. The resulting beer spends a year in bourbon barrels to impart even more complexity and hints of booze. After its long rest in barrels, we add Grade A Madagascar Vanilla beans and Korintje Cinnamon to add further richness and warmth
